From 1:30 pm until 4:30 pm

At Bazaar Girls Yarn Shop

$95 (includes materials)

This class is full. Contact Dana if you'd like to be placed on a waiting list. events@bazaargirls.com,

The afternoon class will teach participants how to use hand stitching to highlight the act of mending and textile repair with decorative Sashiko stitching. Students will learn how to patch and repair a rip or hole, reinforce a worn area, and how to prepare their distressed textiles in order to draw a grid and the Sashiko pattern of their choice. Bring one or two garments to mend or decorate (ideally with holes no larger than 4 inches). Medium-weight cotton items work best: jeans, shirts, pants, and cotton dresses. If you don't have any torn items, you may practice on the sampler patches provided.
