We are delighted to welcome Rachel here from her home in Connecticut to teach a series of Sashiko stitching classes for us.
Sashiko is a Japanese embroidery practice that uses a simple running stitch to create bold geometric patterns on textiles. It can be used to mend, patch, quilt, or decorate garments and home goods. Participants will learn how to handle thread, lay out a simple grid, draw patterns, and how to stitch their designs onto fabric. The resulting sampler squares may be used as a patch, a pocket, a framed textile, a coaster, or anything else you can dream of.

The class fee includes a materials kit and all necessary supplies. Bring good reading glasses and a pair of snips or scissors.
No experience is necessary.
