Café Tenby, Pt. TownsendPortland-based knitwear designer Mary Elizabeth Scott (maryscotthuff.com) will be leading two sessions of High Tea at Pt. Townsend’s darling tea house, Café Tenby, just a crumpet’s throw from Bazaar Girls. Mary will regale us with tales of knitting derring-do (all in a very proper way; this is a civilized occasion, after all), and show several edge treatments that will spice up the borders of your knitting. Mary will show us how to do a knitted hem with an option to add a picot edge, and also show how to add a Latvian braid to your edge. Please bring: two colors of worsted weight yarn in contrasting colors; and appropriate knitting needles. Pinkies out!
This one-hour program includes High Tea and a hands-on demonstration.
There will be seatings at 12:00 p.m. and at 2:00 p.m. for the same content.
Attendance is limited to 12 people per seating.
High Tea Includes:
Tea sandwiches, scones with clotted cream, lemon curd, and jam, a selection of delectable pastries and fruit, and an extensive menu of teas to suit every appetite!
