A little about Olga…<\/h3>\n

Olgajazzy brand was established in 2006 by Olga Buraya-Kefelian. As the daughter of a professional tailor, she has acquired her understanding of clothing construction from an early age, which has progressively become more intuitive. This intuition helps her to create imaginative yet versatile knitwear. Conceived as a line for trendy and ultimately wearable knitwear, the brand is ever-evolving. Drawing her inspiration from industrial and architectural fields, combined with her passion for European and Japanese design, results in Olga\u2019s knitwear designs infused with innovation. Always seeking to develop new ways to incorporate knitwear in these modern times has prompted for her Transform line to emerge.<\/span>
Transform \u2013 the result of a transformation. The essence of this signature knitwear range is the versatility and expanded wearability of each garment: these intelligently constructed pieces provide quintessential wardrobe staples that will compliment various outfits, suit multiple occasions, are wearable year-round, and will suit all seasons.<\/span>

The designer now resides in Virginia and is also the author and co-author of numerous titles. The brand is constantly evolving and Olga marks with its imprint and personal identity each creation, recognizable among all.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Xandy Peters<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

A little about Xandy…<\/h3>\n

Xandy Peters is a knitting designer and teacher, best known as the innovator of the stacked stitch technique and the Fox Paws pattern. Starting as a footwear and product designer, he turned to knitting as a way to explore textiles and surfaces without using factory production and has since made a career out of publishing new patterns and teaching workshops. Xandy has been published in magazines such as Vogue Knitting, Twist Collective, Knitscene, Knitty, and Pom Pom Quarterly, has a Blueprint class teaching the stacked stitch technique, and continues to self-publish patterns monthly. Xandy also blogs about design, crafting, and baking on soimakestuff.com<\/a><\/span> and posts craft videos on YouTube.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ann Budd & Jean deCoster<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

A little about Ann…<\/span><\/h3>\n

Unlike Betty Crocker, Ann Budd is a real person. But her name is equally legendary to knitters, thanks to her classic Knitter\u2019s Handy Book series, which makes it easy for knitters to design garments to their specifications. Ann is particularly known for her mastery of sock knitting and design and teaches sold-out workshops across the country and abroad. Ann lives in Boulder, Colorado. You can find her at annbuddknits.com<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

A little about Jeane…<\/span><\/h3>\n

From a young age, I\u2019ve been fascinated with yarn and all the things you can do with it. I think the earliest project I remember is starting a needlepoint butterfly and \u201caccidentally\u201d leaving it at my auntie\u2019s house. It was proof that all things yarn are magical when Santa returned it to me – finished. This led to an education in textiles and fashion but I was led astray to pursue both fashion and computers under various corporate umbrellas.<\/span><\/p>\n

I finally started my own yarn company in 2005 as a way to continue exploring that lost magic.\u00a0Elemental Affects<\/strong>\u00a0(a U.S. yarn company) started out specializing in breed-specific yarns sourced from our local farms and processed wholly in the United States. Along the way, I\u2019ve branched out to include a little bling (silk from China) but always designing yarns that deliver quality construction and celebrate the characteristics of various sheep breeds.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Some might call it semi-retirement. I just call it change. I’ve recently sold my yarns to two different companies that will carry on with new ways, possibly new colors, and new vision. I am joyfully moving to have more time to weave, knit, and design. I’ve got SO-O-O many ideas for my new AVL K series loom with 32 shafts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Accommodations and Costs\u00a0<\/em><\/h1>\n

The retreat will begin on Thursday with check-in from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (please note that lunch is not included on Thursday). Classes will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday, and the retreat will end following a Continental breakfast Sunday morning.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The cost for the weekend is $975 and includes three 3-hour classes, an appointment with Ann & Jeane<\/strong><\/em>, 3 continental breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners, an invitation to our cocktail party Friday night, a SWAG bag, and fun, fun, fun!!! <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Cancellation:<\/strong><\/span>
If you pay in full now, the balance of your tuition is refundable sans a $150 cancellation fee until January 1, 2024. After that, we regret that all cancellations are non-refundable.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you are making payments, the deposit of $325 is non-refundable. Payment # 2 of $325 is due by August 31. Payment # 3 of $325 is due by December 1. Payments 2 & 3 are refundable until January 1, 2024. After that, all cancellations are non-refundable.<\/span><\/p>\n
