This course is for all levels: whether you're just beginning or have taken an introductory crochet class. The class will focus on the basic crochet stitches, tools, and terms.

Beginners will learn how to: Identify different crochet hooks and yarn types and sizes; understand basic crochet terms; hold the yarn and hook; be comfortable with the basic crochet stitches (chain stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, turning chain).

Students with some experience will learn how to: crochet a round potholder, which can also serve as the start of a hat. Ongoing students will learn how to use these stitches on a range of progressively difficult projects.

Materials List - can be purchased from Bazaar Girls the day of the class: One skein Cestari Sheep and Wool Old Dominion 3-ply DK weight cotton yarn;  crochet hook,size 5.5 mm. (Note: while we recommend a 5.5 mm hook, you can use any size from5 to 6.5 if you already have one).
